Human Zipper Puppet Warp
Human Zipper Effect — Photoshop and Illustrator Tutorial from Ryan Quintal on Vimeo.
Learn how to make a zipper in Adobe Illustrator, then import it into Adobe Photoshop to split reality in two! Without getting a splitting headache.
In Illustrator we’ll be using basic shape tools, the brush pallet, and the transform filter.
In Photoshop we’ll be using the select tool, the puppet warp, and the paintbrush tools to split my head in two.

Hey Ryan,
Pretty good tutorial. You wanted to know if there is a way to do what you have done using photoshop only and i think the answer is yes.
What i would have done is in photoshop found a zipper image online and implemented it into the image using the same technique you have used here. I would maybe also think about using warp rather than puppet warp also. The only difference i suppose is that you would be using an actual zipper rather than a vector based one. I think the end result is more natural. Of course the end result would be greatly improved with proper dodging and burning. Give it a go i am sure you will find this easier to do.
Woow You Have a Good Tutorial I Really Enjoyed Watching This Video + You Explained In a Incredible Way .. Thanks Alot Ryan
